The German University in Cairo is looking for highly motivated applicants wishing to join the Faculty of Engineering and Material Sciences. Successful candidates are expected to teach undergraduate as well as graduate courses in engineering materials, engineering polymers, materials manufacturing technology and materials modelling.
The research area of the professorship is especially in process-structure-relationships in engineering materials. Candidates are welcome who have background in studying materials using a variety of analytical/testing methods, correlating properties to processing techniques and fostering the application of materials across different disciplines in the fields of science and engineering technologies.
Applications would be viewed on the basis of the candidate s research record, teaching experience, academic leadership (supervised thesis/dissertations) and activity within the science and engineering community.
In your role as a senior faculty member, you will be required to develop and participate in research programs and activities at the international level, create educational materials for teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Your teaching philosophy should clearly attract student attention to the discipline of materials science and engineering.
The candidate should have a doctorate degree in the field of, materials science/engineering, mechanical engineering or metallurgy. In addition, he/she owns an excellent publication record in well cited international journals and should be active within international based research groups.
