Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial transactions specific to the project, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project budgets.
  • Prepare and analyze project financial reports, including variance analysis and cash flow projections, to identify potential issues.
  • Manage project-related invoices, payments, and expense claims, ensuring timely processing and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project budgets, providing financial insights and support.
  • Conduct regular audits of project financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile project accounts, including bank statements, vendor invoices, and project-related expenses.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management.
  • Monitor project spending against budget, identifying and escalating any significant variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of project audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial records, ensuring confidentiality and security.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Holds a professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates 3-5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.
  • Experience within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibits a high level of integrity and ethical conduct in all financial dealings.
