Job Purpose
At International Maritime Industries organization, Project Control Manager acts as an independent arbiter under Ops Team. He / She has a broad understanding on International Maritime Industries operational principals and processes.
His / Her contribution spans from Business Development Phase to “Product” final delivery to Customers. He / She unifies the Ops Team effort against approved Schedule and Budget,does sanity check on various inputs from multi-discipline departments, monitors the performance of the Schedule and Budget. Project Control Manager is actively involved in Change / Claim Management Process. He / She performs the continues monitoring on Ops Risk Management.

Planning &Scheduling:
Project Control Manager must have detailed understanding on ITT (Invitation-to-Tender) Objectives from the Business Development (during the ITT Preparation). Works closely with the BD and Ops teams to establish main principals of Project Execution Schedule (based on ITT). Sets up planning deliverables for the Project (based on the project complexity and ITT, in coordination with Project Management Team). Regularly conducts interface management between multi-discipline departments during the project execution. Coordinates with the Customers and Suppliers during the Project Execution on the Planning related matters.

Reporting:
Project Control Managersmust understand the fabrication norms of the industry. Builds up the historical data for the fabrication norms at International Maritime Industries. Provides updated fabrication norms to Business Development. Sets up the basis of the Progress Measurement Structure. Establish the reporting templates (daily, weekly, monthly) of the project based on the internal and external requirement. Does sanity check on the reports prior to distribution.

Cost Control:
Project Control Manager must understand the cost configuration of each element of the Work Breakdown Structure. Active involvement will be required with BD team during the ITT on unit rates based on the latest fabrication norms. Interaction with the multi-discipline departments will be required to ensure smooth information flow. Builds up of corporate historical data of the unit rate based on feedback from different business unit. Timely invoicing of the Customers might be also required in coordination with the Finance.

Change Management:
Project Control Manager must understand the Contract Structure, Scope of Work, Terms and Conditions. Understands the process of Change Management based on the Customer’s / Supplier’s requirement. Works closely with multi-discipline departments for the early identification of potential changes (regardless of the nature – internal and external). Provides the sensitivity analyses (on schedule and cost) on potential changes and works with multi-discipline department to have all required data for the review. Works with Customer / Supplier on the Change Management and provides evidence of the same. Coordinates with the Finance on the results. Maintains the updated Change Management Log.

Risk Management:
Project Control Manager actively participates in Risk Review workshops during the ITT phase. Overtakes the Risk log after Project Award. Conducts Risk Workshop as per schedule with multi-discipline departments participation. Understands the probability of each risk and potential impact on the schedule / cost.

Enterprise Resource Planning:
Project Control Manager will have active role in the development of ERP system at International Maritime Industries. In-depth knowledge of Project Control processes. He / She will interface with multi-discipline SMEs forflawlessoperation.

Lesson Learn:
As part of the continuous improvement, effectiveness and competitiveness of the International Maritime Industries, Project Control Manager must maintain the Corporate Log of Lesson Learn. Conducts periodic workshops with concerned departments on the finding and recommends the actions.

Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Naval, Civil)
Work Experience:
15 years in the following Industries: Rig / Ship Building / MRO / Oil& Gas & Petrochemicals
10-12 years in Project Control
5-7 years as Project Control Manager
License / Certification / Accreditation:
Not mandatory but could be advantageous
Language Requirement:
Fluent English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
Arabic is not essential, but could be advantageous
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Very good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead the team
Analytical skills
Decision making skills
Additional/ Other Requirement:
Proficient in Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis
Proficient in MS Office
