Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Design Coordination & Interface Management

  • Coordinate between Design, Site, Procurement, and Factory teams to ensure full alignment of deliverables
  • Review drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals to ensure constructability and coordination
  • Track design development, approvals, and revisions across all disciplines
  • Ensure design intent is clearly communicated and maintained during execution
  • Facilitate design coordination workshops and interface meetings

Design Procurement Construction Integration

  • Ensure alignment between design outputs and procurement packages
  • Coordinate material submittals, samples, and technical approvals with Design and Procurement teams
  • Track long-lead items and ensure design is frozen in line with procurement timelines
  • Support resolution of design-related procurement issues

Site & Design Alignment

  • Ensure site execution is fully aligned with approved drawings and specifications
  • Capture site-driven design issues and coordinate timely resolution with the Design team
  • Monitor and flag any construction works proceeding without approved design or documentation
  • Support coordination between subcontractors and design disciplines

Documentation & Submittals Management

  • Track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and approvals across all disciplines
  • Ensure all design changes, comments, and rejections are properly recorded and communicated
  • Maintain document control and traceability through systems such as Aconex

Planning & Progress Coordination

  • Coordinate with Planning to ensure design deliverables align with construction schedules
  • Track design approvals against project milestones
  • Support progress reporting with focus on design and coordination status

Commercial & Change Management

  • Support evaluation and coordination of Variation Orders (VOs) related to design changes
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand scope changes and their impact on cost and schedule
  • Assist in gathering technical inputs for claims and EOT submissions

Risk & Coordination Control

  • Identify design clashes, coordination gaps, and constructability risks early
  • Escalate critical interface issues between departments
  • Ensure closure of coordination actions across Design, Site, and Procurement

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • 3 7 years of experience in construction, design coordination, or project delivery
  • Strong exposure to design management, shop drawings, and technical submittals
  • Experience in fast-track or large-scale projects is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of design procurement construction workflow
  • Familiar with tools such as Aconex, Primavera P6, AutoCAD/Revit (preferred), Excel
