Do you want to be part of getting DRBG ready for the future, supporting their fight for growth? With the DRONE programme (DRONE = Developing Regions ONe ERP) we are implementing harmonized processes for both indirect & direct practices across the DRBG regions, getting ready to scale efficiently for our volume ambition. Building on the current best practises in CCEE and CMECCNA, we are implementing a new version of the Orion package, with a web portal in front to capture the orders from our partners and futher supported with the Thomson Reuters OneSource tax engine and a reporting platform.
Our program base location is in one of DRBGs exciting hubs: Dubai, where we expect you to be(come) located. Travel flexibility is important; depending on the phase, (extensive) travel to one of the other DRBG regions could be required. Our first RSO will be Canon East Asia: Turkey.
We are looking for individuals that: - like the opportunity to work in a small team - have a practical mindset, with eye for operational reality - are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and participate hands-on - thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and fun project environment - go for the result, on time, on budget
What we give
With Canon, you'll get the support and encouragement you need to grow, from people who share your ambition. We'll invest in your professional development to help you learn and progress in your role with us. You'll find leaders who give you the freedom to explore new things and a team where knowledge is shared openly.
As the Business IT Consultant, you will be the central Canon content expert for the solution in the Finance area, looking at our business processes and (technical) configuration. Building the bridge, and adding the details, ensuring quality, between our business practices and our vendor. Both challenging (to avoid scope creep and delivery delays) as well as 'getting it done'.
You will assist Domain Process Owners in requirement gathering and writing user stories; you'll do roleorganization mapping and write & execute test scrips. You will work during our configuration sprints, in conjunction with the (D)BPOs, as a product owner, and be the primary content contact for our vendor, 3i Infotech. During the roll out activities you will liaise with the regions, alongside 3i consultants, to ensure adoption and smooth landing. For the complex and critical defects during testing and post-go live, your analysis, based on end-to-end process and solution understanding will ensure quick and decisive resolution.
What we ask
We need people who can achieve the exceptional by working collaboratively, who have the courage to risk new ways of doing things and the ability to see the world the way their customers see it. We're looking for creative problem-solvers like you, someone who can ensure Canon stays ahead in an ever-changing world.
We're looking for someone with:
Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field. Masters Degree is a plus.
Over 5 years experience in IT, of which 3 years relevant functional/technical design experience, and preferable across multiple countries and/or regions.
Adept at creating and transforming business requirements into functional requirements and designing business models using UML diagrams.
Background in defining complex solutions, data integration and data replication across a diverse system landscape including Oracle, SAP and several legacy platforms.
Exceptional problem-solving and sound-decision making capabilities, recognized by alternative solutions, and confident, accurate, decision-making coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid knowledge of the domain applications is required, proven by certification track record.
Strong experience in writing functional requirements following use cases.
The ability to organize and lead meetings, set out actions and perform progress control on deliverables. Be the escalation point for issues which are raised by project team members.

3.Focus on the Customer
4.Take Ownership & Accountability
