Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and work procedures. Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to the plan.
- Technical Supervision: Provide technical guidance to site foremen and workers. Ensure that all construction activities and materials conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Resource Management: Monitor the allocation and use of manpower, equipment, and materials on site. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of all necessary resources.
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) plan. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and technical submittals. Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on project status.
- Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progression.
- Safety & Compliance: Work closely with the HSE team to enforce safety protocols and ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, in line with company policies and local regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional engineering license or certification is a plus.
- Experience:
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the UAE, with a strong background in road, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from the initial phase to completion.
Hands-on experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). - Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
