Tasks& Responsibilities:
Managing the construction of the project in accordance with the contract in the most efficient and profitable manner taking particular care of client requirements and company's, subcontactor's and suppliers' interest and leading the site staff to form a cohesive unit resolved to common purpose.
Ensuring the obtention of all necessary permits from local authorities.
Participating to the selection of the project team
Preparation of the project organizational chart
Review of all project's contracts to monitor the budget and the deadlines.
Reviewing the project plan with the internal team, major subcontractors and suppliers.
Approbation of the quality plan
Reviewing resources schedules to ensure adequate labour and plant availability in order to maintain the construction schedule.
Planning, forecasting and controlling project expenditure, petty cash and preliminary related items, etc.
Planning, monitoring, coordinating and controlling project mobilization activities as per mobilization schedule
Participating in the negociation and selection of the suppliers and subcontractors
Arranging and coordinating with procurement for delivery, expediting and controlling all required materials, equipment and services, including those supplied by the client and site stores.
Approving site's purchase requests.
Evaluate the site suppliers
Handle all problems with the suppliers
Making sure regular inventory are performed.
Ensuring that all plant/ equipment used on site is maintained in good order to prevent failures, operates in safe manner to avoid delays in the work progress and be safe to personnel.
Coordination with the consultants
Coordinating subcontractors kick-off meeting prior to commencement of work on site and ensuring that all required documents, programs/ schedule are submitted on time.
Ensuring all project forms are filled and approved according to the procedures and consultants'requirements
Approving all variation orders before submission.
Chairing and holding weekly site progress meeting to review project status, including subcontractors.
Ensuring that statutory health and safety regulations are observed at all times and that safety on site is maintained at high standards.
Preparing monthly payment claim and final payment claim and submitting it to operations manager for review.
Ensuring all logs are filled adequately.
Ensuring the application of all QMS requirements.
Executing any job related task requested by the operations manager.
Ensuring proper communication with the operations manager for the good execution of the project.
Education Level:
Bachelor of engineering
3-5 years of experience in a similar position
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work under stress
Arabic, French, English
Computer Knowledge:
Microsoft office
Planning softwares
