Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of station projects, from initial concept and design to final commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead the technical aspects of station upgrades and expansions, including equipment selection, system integration, and performance optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Conduct thorough site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to identify project requirements and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the operations team, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and procurement, to facilitate seamless project execution and knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, proactively incorporating them into project designs and operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle, prioritizing a safe working environment.
- Validate and track project progress against the baseline schedule, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
- Handle official project communications with stakeholders through the company’s project communication system, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely updates
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Exhibits proficiency in using relevant engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and simulation software, facilitating efficient design and analysis.
- Demonstrates expertise in power plant systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems, enabling effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Has a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the power generation or related industry, showcasing practical knowledge of station operations and maintenance.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards and ethical conduct.
