Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare project budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain a 5-year business plan.
- Track Budget vs. Actual and perform variance analysis by project, phase, and cost category.
- Working Capital & Cash Management
- Manage working capital cycles on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Consolidate and monitor cash flow plans across projects.
- Support banking requirements and financial projections.
- Reporting & MIS Development
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Create drill-down reports on material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Develop KPI dashboards displaying metrics like budget variance, forecast accuracy, DPO, etc.
- Prepare ratio analysis (DSO, DPO, DIO) and monitor key financial indicators.
- Risk & Performance Monitoring
- Issue cost overrun alerts and profitability analysis reports.
- Maintain a risk assessment matrix for projects.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, Dashboards).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of financial ratios, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- KPIs & Performance Metrics:
- Accuracy of financial reports and dashboards.
- Timeliness of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
- Variance analysis effectiveness and recommendations.
- Compliance with project finance standards and internal controls.
- Improvement in forecast accuracy and cost control measures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- CA qualified Chartered Accountants with 3 to 4 years of experience in projects
- Experience in project-based industries (Engineering, Construction, EPC).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modelling.
