Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

- Financial Planning & Analysis

    • Prepare project budgets and forecasts.
    • Develop and maintain a 5-year business plan.
    • Track Budget vs. Actual and perform variance analysis by project, phase, and cost category.

- Working Capital & Cash Management

    • Manage working capital cycles on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • Consolidate and monitor cash flow plans across projects.
    • Support banking requirements and financial projections.

- Reporting & MIS Development

    • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
    • Create drill-down reports on material, labor, and overhead costs.
    • Develop KPI dashboards displaying metrics like budget variance, forecast accuracy, DPO, etc.
    • Prepare ratio analysis (DSO, DPO, DIO) and monitor key financial indicators.

- Risk & Performance Monitoring

    • Issue cost overrun alerts and profitability analysis reports.
    • Maintain a risk assessment matrix for projects.

- Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, Dashboards).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of financial ratios, variance analysis, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- KPIs & Performance Metrics:

  • Accuracy of financial reports and dashboards.
  • Timeliness of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
  • Variance analysis effectiveness and recommendations.
  • Compliance with project finance standards and internal controls.
  • Improvement in forecast accuracy and cost control measures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • CA qualified Chartered Accountants with 3 to 4 years of experience in projects
  • Experience in project-based industries (Engineering, Construction, EPC).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modelling.
