We are seeking a Project Management Analyst to join the Technical Services Group of the Research & Development Center (R&DC).
The Technical Support Group is responsible for providing business-related support services to the R&DC across various energy domains.
Your primary role is to provide support on the many aspects of planning and projects in a research department. This would include performing project schedules using Gantt Charts, analysis and planning of resources, and reviewing the needs of a project to go through the Stage Gate Process as efficiently and effectively as possible.
You will need to review the projects with a critical focus on gaps and ways to speed project execution, including related to portfolio management and optimization recommendations.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor's degree in project management, physical sciences, engineering, or business administration from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have strong business acumen with at least 10 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or research environment, including at least 5 years as a specialist.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Provide reports and presentations to management on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Provide project and portfolio management services to Research and Development, its subsidiaries, and affiliates.
Apply advanced knowledge of a specific field to look in-depth at information pertaining to the research projects. Act as a resource in providing information and recommendations to management in the implementation of new solutions and procedures.
Apply project management fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures to analyze data and create reports. Maintain and continuously improve the project management system for achieving goals and objectives, through daily actions and recommendations.
Ensure process documentation is current at all times.
Perform scheduled as well as random audits to ensure compliance. Propose process changes as necessary for sustained compliance and improved performance.
Develop relationships with the business locally, as well as the Division and Department, to ensure alignment of activities and objectives.
Review various audit results to identify systemic issues, and recommend and implement necessary actions.
