Role Overview

Lead the delivery of complex data center infrastructure projects, including new builds, expansions, and upgrades. Responsible for end-to-end project delivery from scope definition and vendor engagement to procurement, installation, and final handover ensuring that all milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the required-quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the full end to end project management lifecycle (Business Requirements, Design, Planning, Execution and Handover) in line with business expectations of specification, quality, cost and schedule.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including timelines, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation, including but not limited to meeting minutes, status reports, RAID logs, change requests and technical documentation
• Proactively manage internal stakeholder expectations and communications including ELT to ensure deliverables are aligned and any deviations to the plan can be appropriately managed
• Proactively monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution of any issues, escalating where appropriate for help and assistance
• Facilitate and lead workshops with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align deliverables, and track progress.
• Establish, manage and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers ensuring SOWs are fit for purpose, allowing for performance to be managed and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Work with Solution Architects, Engineers and internal departments such as legal, finance and procurement to facilitate procurement of infrastructure equipment to ensure availability per project schedule
• Oversee installation and commissioning phases, coordinating logistics and on-site activities
• Ensure agreed handover of infrastructure to operations teams with full documentation and training as required.
• Support the development of standard project management methodology approach including defining and documenting key processes and templates to aid a successful deployment
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Demonstratable Project Management experience delivering complex and multi-faceted projects within the tech industry, preferably with a focus on AI and GPU projects.
• A degree in project management, computer science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster

• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide cross-functional teams towards project goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with stakeholders, team members, and clients.
• Experience in managing budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure project success.
• Understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, high-performance computing, and related architectures.
• Familiarity with the tools and platforms used in AI and HPC environments.
• Ability to navigate and thrive in an unstructured environment
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide cross-functional teams towards project goals.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure components, including power, cooling, compute, networking and Cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with the tools and platforms used in AI and HPC environments
• Experience with project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Experience with Tier 3 data centre design and construction
• Knowledge of HSE and compliance requirements in critical infrastructure environments.
