Job Description
• Manage the development of the projects register for Rail Operations Department and ensure that the register is up-to-date and maintained.
• Coordinate with the Project Managers within Rail Agency and ensure that they are aware of the processes and documentations required for a project.
• Ensure that the Annual Project Plan for the following year is finalized according to the timeline as stipulated in the O&M Concession Agreement.
• Attend regular meetings with the Project Management Office (PMO) and provide updates relating to the progress of all projects.
• Monitor and measure the O&M contractor s performance relating to any required project management KPIs.
• Attend monthly meeting with the O&M contractor to discuss project progress.
• Negotiate with the O&M contractor to determine the annual Project Management Fee.
• Monitor and report regularly on Rail Operations Department budget utilization for projects.
• Update the OPMS system and prepare reports to update the status of the projects for Senior Management.
• Provide support on other infrastructure projects by ensuring that the documents that are required to be reviewed are completed in a timely manner and the provision of information relevant to the section s scope is available.
• Coordinate the development, review and approval of the O&M contractor s Annual Business Plans by ensuring that these are completed in a timely manner in accordance with the requirement of the O&M Concession Agreement.
• Monitor the implementation of the O&M contractor s Annual Business Plans.
• Monitor all invoices from billing organizations that require approval from Rail Operations Department.
• Coordinate and prepare Rail Operations Department annual budgeting and monthly costing by ensuring that the department s annual budget is prepared in a timely manner and the department s expenditure and cash flow are monitored.
• Prepare Rail Operations Department budgeting and costing monthly report to Senior Management.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities associated with the position.
Skills
• Bachelor in Engineering: Mechanical/ Electromechanical /Electrical/ Industrial from a recognized university with PMP /Masters preferred.
• 8 years of working experience within the Rail Industry and at least 3 years within the specific area of Project Administration.
• Knowledge of financial procedures and processes.
• Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
• Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
• Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints
