Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Project / Site Engineer – ID & Fit-Out manages day-to-day on-site execution of fit-out works, coordinating trades, resolving technical queries, and ensuring work quality and programme compliance on assigned projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all fit-out installation activities including joinery, ceiling systems, partitions, flooring, cladding, painting, and FF&E installation.

  • Review and implement approved shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements on site.

  • Manage daily site operations including labour deployment, material deliveries, and subcontractor coordination.

  • Raise RFIs and technical queries; coordinate responses with the design team and consultant.

  • Monitor works against baseline programme; flag delays and propose corrective actions to the Project Manager.

  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure works comply with approved finishes, specifications, and mock-ups.

  • Maintain site records, daily reports, and photographic documentation.

  • Enforce HSE requirements, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work procedures on site.

  • Assist with snagging, defect rectification, and client handover activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.

  • 3–10 years of fit-out site engineering experience in UAE/GCC.

  • Good knowledge of fit-out trades: joinery, gypsum, ceilings, flooring, painting, and MEP finishes coordination.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and document management tools; BIM/Revit knowledge is a plus.

  • Strong site coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
