The opportunity

Substation Control & Protection system Testing & Commissioning for various projects acting as the responsible commissioning engineer overseeing the installation and commissioning of Substation Control & Protection systems for assignments classified as medium commissioning complexity. Manage completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How You ll Make An Impact

• Represents the Commissioning function at project meetings and Commissioning review meetings an contributes to creation of the project commissioning philosophy. Manages implementation of the project commissioning philosophy.
• Manages Implementation of commissioning changes and the production of as built project documentation and supporting continuous improvement of project process and product and system commissioning via provision of lessons learned feedback.
• Supports Project Managers in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.).
• Creates work plans for work in own area of responsibility and proactively manages this work to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and at targeted cost.
• Conducts risk and opportunity assessments in real time during the commissioning phase to ensure safe implementation of the commissioning philosophy and identification of potential variation requests to support contract claims. Reports early any contract/quality/program/cost issues to management, along with recommendations for resolution.
• Manages external organizations providing Commissioning with equipment, systems or services (e.g. issues permit to work, provides guidance on health and safety requirements and work practices, accepts as complete work done).
• Creates standard processes and tools. Uses agreed processes and procedures to ensure that all commissioning activities comply with the required safety regulations and satisfy contractual requirements.
• Tasks manage small Commissioning team, prepare project documentation for SAT, FAT as required, Obtain approvals from utilities for Commissioning activities of Protection Systems (Main and back up relays including scheme testing), Knowledge & experience of third-party product and systems, H & S: follow safety rules on construction sites according to regulations and proactive coordination and reporting to principal commissioning engineer operationally and Commissioning manager functionally.

Your background

• A bachelor s degree or master s degree in relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years experience as a Commissioning Engineer of Protection system and products.
• Taken High level to medium level complex project in operation Skills to operate Test Kit. (Omicron, FREJA, Swerker),
• Technical Report generation, communication, customer interface skills Multi priority and multi-tasking. Analytical and strategic approach. High organizing and coordination skills. Multi priority & multi-tasking and Analytical & strategic approach
• High Customer Orientation.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
