Role Summary


Cabot is hiring a Prototype Equipment Technician to support its R&D and engineering teams in Dubai. This role focuses on the design, fabrication, calibration, and maintenance of chemical process equipment and electro-mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with assembling and testing prototype systems, along with a deep understanding of chemical plant operations and instrumentation.

What You ll Do


* Participate in designing and building chemical process prototypes, including plumbing and electrical subassemblies
* Collaborate with engineers to install, test, and optimize new process systems
* Perform equipment calibrations, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades
* Maintain detailed records and documentation for specifications, manuals, and procedures
* Assist in system automation and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical processes
* Support Responsible Care initiatives to uphold environmental, health, and safety standards
* Deliver consistent technical support on project tasks and respond to system faults proactively

Ideal Profile

* Post-secondary technical training (diploma or certification in engineering/technician programs)
* 3 5 years hands-on experience in chemical plant equipment maintenance or prototype testing
* Familiarity with industrial automation systems, electrical components, and safety standards
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
* Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities in a team environment
