The HR Generalist – Government Relations will overlook government relations and will develop and implement the company’s GR strategy in compliance with its strategic goals and objectives. Purpose is to carry out tasks related to the processing of employees’ visas and government related documents and ensures compliance with immigration and other relevant departments. Responsible for the daily activities related to Government Relations including visa, license applications and management of government relations. Maintains open lines of communication with various Government and Municipal agencies

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Monitors the visa, labour card and passport expiration of all associates.
• Files visa applications for employees
• Ensures employee files contain required employment paperwork, related to visas or licenses. Ensures this information is properly maintained and secured for the required length of time.
• Ensure all visa, medical and labour permits are up to date and arrange timely renewal.
• Ensure all Trade Licenses, permits are up to date.
• Assist in all general inquiries concerning labour and immigration matters.
• Maintaining a systematic record of transactions related to the processing of work permits and visas for staff and their family members
• Represent the Company at locations such as the Police Station, Airport, Hotels, Embassies, Ministries, Municipalities & other related departments
• Responsible for processing all applications for visas, work permits, residence permits identity cards of employees and dependents as well as visitors.
• Maintains a weekly cost overview with detailed justification.
• Dealing with Zonecorp, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Health, Municipality and customs clearance tasks
• Arranges the coordination of associates’ departures at the airport at the end of their contract to ensure visa cancellation.
• Assists with all Government matters where necessary.
• Works with relevant government agencies or departments to ensure documents are processed properly.
• Offer advice on government relations matters to all to ensure all projects /employees have the necessary documentation.
• Coordination works related to different Consulates and Embassies
• Supports the translation of any Arabic documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Basic Qualifications and requirements:

• Any Diploma/ Degree
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Government Relations
• Experience in handling visa, licenses and equipment permits in different Government Authorities.
• Familiar with Microsoft office Applications
• Holding a valid local driving license
• Takes initiative; develops and implements creative and effective solutions to key problems; strives for continuous improvement.
• Able to work flexible hours
