Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor pultrusion machines, ensuring continuous production of high-quality composite profiles.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting minor issues and reporting complex problems to maintenance staff.
- Conduct quality control checks, including dimensional inspections and visual assessments, to maintain product standards.
- Prepare and mix resin systems, following precise formulations and safety protocols to achieve desired material properties.
- Load and feed raw materials (reinforcements, resin, etc.) into the pultrusion machine, ensuring a consistent and efficient process.
- Adjust machine parameters (speed, temperature, pulling force) to optimize production and meet specified product requirements.
- Trim and cut finished profiles to the required lengths, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical certificate or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with at least 1-2 years of experience in pultrusion or a similar process.
- Familiarity with composite materials, including fiberglass, carbon fiber, and various resin systems is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
