Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and vendors, ensuring the best quality and prices.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, focusing on building long-term relationships.
- Create and process purchase orders for medicines, surgical tools, diagnostic equipment, and other hospital essentials.
- Manage the procurement process from purchase requisition to order fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular assessments and maintain updated records of supplier information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to procurement and purchasing activities.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions that maximize cost savings.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on purchasing activities, budgets, and supplier performance.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the relevant industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPP) is highly desirable.
- Mandatory experience in a Hospital.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable contract terms.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus for global supplier interactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
