Maintaining a good relationship with all departments.
Negotiate cost effective purchases for all supplies and services, while meeting all MOHG guidelines and quality specifications.
Negotiate cost effective purchases for all Capex and FF&E items, while meeting all MOHG guidelines and quality specifications.
Generate purchase orders on approval requisitions and obtain necessary authorization and obtain the authorization from the Director of Finance and General Manager prior to processing these orders.
Obtain competitive price quotations and confirm purchase availabilities
Sourcing suppliers.
Assist in the maintenance of perpetual inventories.
Assist in contract negotiations
Ensure that there are sufficient supplies on hand for on all inventoried items for each department by coordinating regular inventories with Stores.
Ensure that all items received by the hotel are properly documented in accordance with the company's purchasing and receiving procedures.
Assist Accounts Payable in researching any discrepancies on invoices.
Managing the purchasing system and support department heads in regard to Purchase requests and Purchase orders.
Filing and organizing all purchase documents
Check materials received against invoices and notes breakage and discrepancies in quantity or quality.
Keep daily records, file and prepare reports.
Expedite any outstanding purchase orders.
Assist other staff members in all areas concerning purchasing, receiving, distribution and shipping.
Prepare any reports as requested by management
To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by management.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
Must have commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
Must have a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality, and work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Obtain competitive quotations for hotel requirements and ensure that the best product
Senior School qualification
Specific training records in area of scope (Purchasing)
Education & Certificates
Minimum 2 -3 years experience in purchasing/stores environment
Knowledge of Purchasing System (preferably Moreton Bay)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office mainly excel
