Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.

  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for the college.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to forecast purchasing needs.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with internal policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Track orders and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve billing issues.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and alternative products that meet college standards.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices and compliance with relevant regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with contract management and vendor evaluation processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Willingness to work full-time in an on-site office environment.
