Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality manuals in compliance with ISO 9001, NFPA, UL/FM, LPCB, EN, and UAE Civil Defence requirements.
  • Inspect raw materials, castings, forgings, pipes, valves, and coatings to ensure compliance with applicable standards and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), heat numbers, and traceability.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support and coordinate with third-party inspectors, certification bodies, and Civil Defense for product testing, approvals, and audits.
  • Keep, update, and maintain all product documentation, including drawings, specifications, test certificates, and approvals for new and updated products.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and measuring devices.
  • Investigate quality issues through root cause analysis and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Report quality-related issues in purchased materials and follow up with suppliers until rectification.
  • Ensure all manufactured products are properly labelled, documented, and traceable.
  • Inspect and evaluate returned products from clients and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Train and guide factory staff on QA/QC standards, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
  • Assist in internal and external audits (ISO, UL/FM, Civil Defense), ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Support in achieving and maintaining company certifications and product approvals.

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Specification:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in the fire protection/firefighting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, UL, FM, LPCB, EN, ASTM standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and related auditing requirements.
  • Experience in product documentation control (drawings, specifications, and approvals).
  • Excellent skills in inspection reporting, documentation, and customer complaint handling.
  • Certification in QA/QC, ISO, or related quality systems is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across departments (engineering, production, procurement, and sales).
