Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Oversee and inspect all gypsum works, ensuring adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant codes and standards for structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, including gypsum boards, profiles, and accessories, to verify compliance with quality standards and project requirements before installation.
  • Monitor and assess the execution of gypsum works, focusing on critical aspects such as accurate cutting, fitting, and fixing of gypsum boards, ensuring seamless joints and alignment.
  • Perform regular dimensional checks and measurements to confirm the precision of gypsum installations, including wall partitions, ceilings, and decorative elements, to maintain design intent.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken, along with photographic evidence to track progress and maintain quality records.
  • Collaborate with site engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address quality issues, resolve discrepancies, and implement effective solutions to ensure quality.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements related to gypsum works, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of the contractor's quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and documentation, to verify effectiveness and compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in construction principles and quality control methodologies.
  • Holds relevant certifications in quality control and inspection, such as those from recognized organizations, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the construction industry, with a specific focus on gypsum works and finishing trades.
  • Exhibits a proven track record of successfully managing quality control processes on construction projects, particularly those involving gypsum board installations and finishing.
  • Displays a deep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and relevant industry standards and codes related to gypsum works and finishing.
  • Proficient in using quality control tools and software for inspections, reporting, and documentation, including experience with relevant software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently and effectively.
