Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to schedule and execute inspection stages per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and project schedule.
- Ensure clear communication of project requirements, inspection schedules, and quality standards to all stakeholders.
Quality Assurance/Control:
- Enforce compliance with project specifications, ASME codes (SEC VIII Division 1/2), ASME material specifications, and other applicable standards during pressure vessel construction and inspection.
- Participate in internal and project audits to evaluate compliance with quality management systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and monitor NCR closure to prevent recurrence.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of final quality dossiers/documentation packages, including inspection reports, test records, material traceability documents, WSS and NDE reports, as-built drawings, and other relevant documentation for pressure vessels.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of documentation to clients and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare quality documents as per project-specific VDRL and submit on time in accordance with project schedules.
- Respond to customer complaints, queries, and concerns regarding quality issues, inspection results, or project progress.
- Resolve issues encountered during fabrication and inspection activities quickly and effectively.
Technical Expertise:
- Possess strong knowledge of pressure vessel construction codes (ASME SEC VIII Division 1 & 2) and ASME material specifications.
- Accurately interpret project specifications and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance during fabrication, inspection, and testing phases.
Sub-Vendor Coordination:
- Coordinate and control activities of subcontractors and external vendors involved in pressure vessel inspection, testing, fabrication, and material supply.
- Verify the qualifications and capabilities of sub-vendors to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Review Technical Delivery Condition (TDC) and Material Purchase Request (MPS) against code and project-specific requirements.
- Verify NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) status and ensure stage-wise inspections are conducted prior to releasing equipment for PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) and Hydrostatic Testing stages.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control, particularly in pressure vessel fabrication or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes, quality management systems.
