Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Engineer – Joinery to ensure that all joinery products and installations meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworks, fit-out, and joinery processes, with a deep understanding of quality control systems and project execution in interior design and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections of joinery works (e.g., doors, cabinets, wall cladding, furniture) at various production and installation stages.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to ensure compliance in joinery fabrication and installation.
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists specific to joinery and woodworks.
- Coordinate with production, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance during execution.
- Monitor and verify the quality of raw materials and finished products.
- Identify non-conformities, initiate NCRs, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain and archive quality records, reports, and documentation.
- Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits related to joinery production and installation.
- Provide technical guidance to production and site teams regarding quality issues.
- Ensure that all works comply with local regulations, industry standards, and health & safety policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably within the joinery, fit-out, or interior contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of woodwork manufacturing processes, materials, and standards.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and QA/QC documentation.
- Proficient in reading joinery/shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements and site safety practices.
Preferred:
- Experience working in high-end interior projects (hospitality, retail, corporate, etc.)
- Certification in QA/QC or related training
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design/inspection tools
