Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise routine insulation and cladding works at project sites and in the workshop, including installation of new insulation/cladding and proper removal and disposal of old insulation.
  • Manage the fabrication and installation of various insulation materials (e.g., Aerogel, glass wool, flexible elastomeric foam, cellular glass) and cladding works (metallic & non-metallic) as per applicable standards (e.g., NORSOK) and project specifications.
  • Liaise with foremen/supervisors to ensure insulation and cladding work is completed in line with QHSE requirements.
  • Assist supervisors in planning activities and ensure all required resources are arranged promptly to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare required training manuals and project-specific documents (e.g., Insulation Procedure Specification, method statements) according to project specifications and applicable codes/standards.
  • Train, test, and certify personnel (insulation & sheet metal work) in line with NORSOK requirements (e.g., R004, M004) and other relevant standards.
  • Supervise and guide workers during task execution to prevent failures, deviations, and rework.
  • Inspect and certify deliverables (e.g., completed or in-progress work) as per required standards and specifications.
  • Ensure inspection punch lists and comments are clarified and closed with clients and relevant inspection/approval agencies.
  • Follow day-to-day operations to ensure smooth progress of work.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Marine or Offshore Insulation field.
  • Experience working in the Marine, Oil & Gas, and Offshore industries.
  • Strong training and supervisory skills.
  • FROSIO Insulation Inspector Level 3 certification (as per NORSOK R004 & M004).
