Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship across all project phases, ensuring strict adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and international codes.
  • Perform detailed dimensional control checks, verifying that installations align with design tolerances and project requirements, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Witness and verify the execution of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, reviewing reports and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports, including accurate documentation of findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Review and approve Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring they are aligned with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with project engineers, construction supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor and verify the calibration status of all inspection and testing equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, contributing to the continuous improvement of quality management systems.
  • Identify and document non-conformances, facilitating the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all QC activities comply with project-specific requirements, international standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO), and client specifications.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Possesses relevant certifications such as CSWIP, AWS, or ASNT Level II in applicable NDT methods.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in quality control within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, specifically in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, ISO).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in additional languages may be advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and ultrasonic testing devices.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to quality, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and physically capable of performing inspections at construction sites.
