Roles & Responsibilities
Brief Summary
The Deputy Manager Quality Assurance will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance across our operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in jewellery quality testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improvement. This position will collaborate closely with the Quality Control Team and vendors.
Brief Job Description (just an indicative list and not limited to the following)
- Conduct surprise visits to the same site as the Quality Control Team to perform random checks and ensure alignment of quality control checks with the quality control module.
- Prepare quarterly quality control reports that document findings, observations, and recommendations, and share them with the vendor to promote transparency and continuous improvement.
- Analyze trends in the reasons for quality control rejections over a period of time, identify recurring issues, and provide actionable insights to the vendors for areas of development.
- Collaborate with the Head of Quality to develop and implement vendor scorecards and reports that evaluate and measure vendor performance against defined quality parameters.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a robust quality management system, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality control guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits of vendor processes and quality control procedures to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Train and educate the Quality Control Team and vendors on quality assurance practices, product specifications, and quality control techniques.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving quality initiatives, identifying process bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions to enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in jewellery quality assurance practices to drive innovation and maintain industry-leading quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including Production, Design, and Procurement, to resolve quality-related issues and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Skill Required
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in jewellery quality testing, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control techniques.
- Proven experience in conducting quality audits, preparing reports, and analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in quality assessments.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.
