We are looking for Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Purpose:

The QA Engineer provides leadership, coordination and support of all quality assurance and control activities. The position shall report to the Quality Engineering Specialist, and may be required to act as his delegate as needed. This role is applicable to brownfield and greenfield project quality management

Main Duties/ Accountabilities:

 Understand and promote the Clients(Quality Assurance) requirements and supporting compliance procedure expectations.

 Establish and support proactive and collaborative working relationships with contractors and applicable third party organisations.

 Ensure project plans, procedures and programs are in place in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy requirements.

 Review project scopes of work for CAT IV-VI Projects to determine the necessary extent and frequency of quality verification activities.

 Plan, manage, lead and participate in assigned Project QMS verification activities.

 Review contractor/ supplier quality deliverables for conformance to Client quality requirements and expectations (I.E. PQP, PEP, ITP, Criticality Rating assessments and QA/QC procedures).

 Lead and participate in assigned quality verification activities.

 Coordinate site and workshop inspection activities, and assign adequate Client inspection resources to effectively measure conformance to requirements.

 Conduct and Lead External quality audits and internal self assessments to gauge the effectiveness of the quality management system

 Evaluate and monitor the performance of Client QC inspectors and QC Leads, and identify training requirements to continually improve the performance of the Quality Team.

 Steward the NCR process for all identified non-conformance – including NCR/CAR issue, RCFA, disposition approval and close-out.

 Identify quality-related lessons learned, and propose suitable corrective actions to improve work processes and prevent further undesirable conditions/ situations.

 Act on behalf of the Quality Engineering Specialist for all project-related quality queries, concerns, issues, plans and progress etc., if required.

 Monitor the quality performance of contractors/ applicable third party organisations and communicate project quality metrices and statistics effectively with the project team.

 Ensures mechanical acceptance, and completion of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities related to projects.

 Promote the Client company health, safety and environment requirements and ensure that they are adhered to during project activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Desired Knowledge Skills and Experience:

 Minimum 15 years demonstrated experience in the oil and gas industry, with particular focus on brownfield and greenfield projects, and in-service modifications to existing LNG facilities together with maintenance and shutdown activities.

 Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering discipline (or suitable alternative, with demonstrated knowledge and experience) with multi discipline skills. The candidate shall have wide knowledge on mechanical, welding, civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.

 Level II Welding, Coating and NDT certification would be advantageous.

 Certified Lead Auditor (IRCA) with extensive experience in leading QMS audits.

 Broad experience in conducting quality assurance assessments of procurement, engineering and construction processes.

 Specific experience in conducting Procurement Surveillance Assessments to measure the efficiency of the procurement process, and compliance with contractual quality requirements.

 Proven QC inspection, coordination and leadership skills.

 Experienced in leading a team of multi-disciplined inspectors (Civil, Piping, Welding, Electrical & Instrumentation and Coating/Insulation)

 Demonstrated shutdown experience.

 Knowledge of applicable Codes/ Standards (for example: ISO:9001, ASME, API, ASNT, NACE, AWS, BS, QCS, EN 10204).

 Proven ability to establish and implement procedures related to the quality management system including project quality plans, execution plans, procurement plans, materials criticality ratings, etc.

 Demonstrated experience in procurement quality assurance and control

 Proven source-inspection coordination skills.

 Expediting experience, for critical/long-lead materials.

 Excellent written and oral English language skills.

 Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work as a team member under tight project schedule constraints.

 Good adaptability to a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.

 Experienced in coating specifications and inspection.
