Quality Control Inspector Orshana Bespoke Interiors

1. Quality Inspection & Standards Compliance

• Inspect furniture products (wood, metal, upholstery, and mixed materials) at various stages of production — from raw material to finished goods.
• Ensure all items meet design specifications, approved samples, and company quality standards.
• Check joinery, finishes, polish/paint, upholstery stitching, cushioning, and hardware fittings for defects.

2. Incoming Material Verification

• Inspect and verify quality of incoming raw materials such as wood, laminates, fabrics, foams, glass, metal components, and hardware.
• Reject or quarantine any material that does not meet specifications, and report discrepancies to procurement.

3. In-Process Quality Control

• Monitor and document production processes to ensure consistency in workmanship.
• Work closely with carpenters, upholsterers, polishers, and machinists to identify and correct defects during manufacturing.
• Ensure correct handling and storage of materials to prevent damage.

4. Final Product Inspection

• Conduct thorough pre-dispatch inspections of finished furniture for dimensions, finish quality, functional checks, and safety compliance.
• Approve products for packaging and shipment only after meeting quality benchmarks.
• Ensure furniture is free from scratches, dents, uneven finishes, loose joints, or incorrect installations.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain QC inspection records, defect logs, and corrective action reports.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to production or suppliers when deviations are found.
• Provide daily/weekly QC reports to management for performance tracking.

6. Client & Project Coordination

• Liaise with project managers, designers, and site teams to ensure delivered furniture matches client-approved designs.
• Attend mock-up inspections with clients and consultants when required.

7. Process Improvement

• Recommend improvements in manufacturing processes, tools, or materials to enhance product quality.
• Assist in updating and enforcing quality control procedures and standards.
