Quantity Surveyor (Electrical or Mechanical) Samsung C & T Corporation

Core responsibilities

• Cost estimation and budgeting: Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for all electrical and mechanical works.
• Quantity take-offs: Prepare, review, and verify quantities for MEPF systems from project drawings and specifications.
• Tendering and contracts: Prepare tender documents and assist in the tendering process, including creating Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Cost control:Monitor and manage project costs to ensure the project stays within budget, which includes identifying and mitigating risks.
• Variation and claims management:Assess and evaluate claims for additional works and prepare cost estimates for any scope changes.
• Payment and invoice management: Review contractor claims and payment applications, verify quantities, and process invoices for completed work.
• Site verification: Conduct regular site visits to verify the quantities of materials and work completed and ensure compliance with the contract.
• Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports and provide updates to clients and management on project progress and financial status.
• Client liaison: Consult with clients to understand requirements and provide commercial and contractual advice.
