Roles & Responsibilities

Facilities & Maintenance Engineer (Quantity Surveyor Background)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Engineer with Quantity Surveyor experience, AutoCAD skills, and MEP knowledge for building projects. The candidate will support cost estimation, BOQ preparation, MEP coordination, drawing review, and maintenance activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings and site requirements

  • Review and understand AutoCAD drawings for civil, MEP, and fit-out works

  • Prepare cost estimates for building maintenance and renovation projects

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for civil & MEP maintenance works

  • Verify quotations, invoices, and variation orders

  • Monitor facility maintenance activities (civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC)

  • Ensure work completion as per drawing, scope, and budget

  • Maintain records of project costs and maintenance reports

  • Assist in space planning and minor layout changes using AutoCAD

  • Basic understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying

  • 2–5 years experience in building construction or maintenance projects

  • AutoCAD knowledge is mandatory

  • Experience in BOQ preparation & cost estimation

  • MEP knowledge required (HVAC, electrical, plumbing works)

  • GCC experience preferred

  • Good coordination and reporting skills
