Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and manage cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents in accordance with project requirements and international standards.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize cost and enhance project efficiency without compromising quality or functionality.
  • Implement cost control systems, monitor budget utilization, and identify cost variances with corrective recommendations.
  • Administer contractual correspondence in line with FIDIC conditions; support claims preparation and variation submissions.
  • Participate in tender evaluations, commercial negotiations, and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, and finance teams to ensure cost compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date cost databases and benchmarks for future reference and project planning.
  • Ensure adherence to international methods of measurement in all quantity take-off and valuation tasks..

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial control within major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
  • Proven expertise in value engineering, cost optimization, and cost control techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of international standards of measurement .
  • Proficiency in cost management software.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural environment.
