Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for building projects, ensuring all financial aspects are meticulously calculated to prevent budget overruns.
  • Conduct detailed feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects, considering all economic factors and risks involved.
  • Manage procurement processes by selecting and negotiating with contractors and suppliers to achieve the best value for materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress and maintain financial records, ensuring that all expenditures align with the budget and project timelines.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters, including risk management and dispute resolution, to protect the interests of the client.
  • Perform value engineering assessments to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, including forecasts and variations, to keep all stakeholders informed of financial status.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure clarity in project specifications and requirements.
  • Assist in the final account settlement process by preparing detailed financial statements and cost breakdowns.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in commercial or residential construction projects.

  • Experience with cost estimation software and tools, showcasing a strong technical ability in quantitative analysis.

  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams and fostering collaborative relationships across project stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable terms with suppliers and contractors.

  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially for multinational projects.

  • Attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to continuous professional development and industry engagement.
