R&D Technician JOTUN

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As an R&D Technician, you will assist the chemist and perform assigned R&D activities in accordance with given instructions and standard procedures, contributing to the department s overall objectives.

This position will be based in Jotun MEIA's Regional Centre in Dubai and reports to Regional R&D Manager Protective & Flooring.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and test the department's products in accordance with request from chemist

• Work together with the chemist, in developing, testing and evaluating coatings/paint systems/binder/raw materials

• Participate in project work and project groups by providing professional and practical support.

• Report results continuously, in writing and orally,and also create simple standard reports, to ensure that stakeholders are informed.

• Knowledge and use of necessary safety equipment as described and to take into consideration general safety, this includes being able to understand content and the meaning of safety data sheets.

• Ensure that the necessary raw materials, packaging and other laboratory equipment are available to ensure an effective work environment.

• Attend to the daily order in the laboratory so that the work space is tidy, safe and pleasant.

• Carry out other duties as assigned in the laboratory.
