Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Rebar Detailer is responsible for producing detailed rebar drawings, bar bending schedules, and reinforcement shop drawings for structural concrete elements in accordance with project structural engineer specifications and UAE standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce rebar detailing drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS) for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and walls.

  • Review and interpret structural engineering drawings to develop accurate reinforcement details.

  • Coordinate with structural engineers and site teams to resolve detailing queries.

  • Ensure rebar details comply with ACI, BS, or relevant UAE structural standards.

  • Revise and update drawings based on RFI responses and design changes.

  • Liaise with subcontractors and steel fixers to clarify detailing requirements.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Drafting.

  • 5–10 years of rebar detailing experience with a Tier 1 UAE contractor.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Tekla Structures or similar rebar software is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and reinforcement standards
