Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiving Clerk / Store Assistant to support our warehouse and inventory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods, ensuring inventory accuracy, and assisting with general storekeeping duties.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Verify items received against purchase orders, delivery notes, or invoices.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
- Label and store items in designated storage areas.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Assist in inventory control, including regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Prepare goods for dispatch or internal distribution as required.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified.
- Update inventory management systems or stock records accurately and timely.
- Assist colleagues and other departments with locating and retrieving stock items.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a warehouse, receiving, or store assistant role (preferred).
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
