Main duties:
Primarily responsible for the overall procedures and standards of service at the Reception.
Maintains a high level of Guest Service Agents & Shift Leaders welfare and employee satisfaction.
Coaches all new employees and develops existing employees to ensure that the maximum performance and growth is obtained.
Co-ordinates and participates in a section monthly training program.
Ensures that all accounting auditing practices are in line with company practices and governmental requirements.
Supervises Reception personnel to ensure optimum occupancy and average room rate for purpose of maximizing revenue.
Monitors Reception personnel to ensure guests receive prompt, warm attention and personal recognition.
Communicates with other departments, especially Housekeeping, to make sure that all issues related to them are taken care of.
Inspects frequently for cleanliness and orderliness of the Lobby reception and Cashier s desk.
Maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform appearance and posture of sections employees.
Assists in monitoring and controlling, on an on-going basis.
Routinely checks billing instructions and guest credit for accuracy and compliance with hotel credit policy.
Coordinates with security in the investigation of irregularities and undesirable guests.
Coordinates with Housekeeping on checking discrepancies.
Checks all audit and registration cards of cashiers before sending them to accounts.
Controls the room availability in high occupancy periods.
Assists in maintaining smooth relationships between management and guests by resolving problems arising from guest complaints and attending to their requests or queries with dispatch.
Escorting VIPs to their rooms when necessary.
Seeing to the accommodation and transportation of overflow guests in cases of full emergency.
Ensures all new procedures and policies are communicated and implemented effectively within the department.
Ensures that all Front Office standards are maintained by regular spot checks and observations taking corrective action and retraining.
Prepares work schedules and store requisitions on timely basis.
Cooperates in the performance of any reasonable task requested by the management.
Adheres to all Hotel policies and procedures.
Maintains and ensures that up selling targets are met and everyone is participating in it.
Relieves the Night Manager during days off and vacation periods.
Maintains an extensive knowledge on any hotel or corporate promotions or alliances.
