1. To manage the entire Recreation Department including indoor and outdoor areas as may be appropriate by maximizing employee productivity and available resources as per business volume.
2. Monitor and maintain the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards in all recreation areas.
3. Ensures all sections within the department adhere to established standards and policies.
4. Assist in Identifying market trends and needs in terms of recreation facilities.
5. Trains and develops supervisors so that they can operate independently and creatively.
6. Meets regularly with section Supervisors to discuss customer feedback, guest amenities quality and quantity, specific guest requirements, etc.
7. Develops recreation programs and activities on offer to members and hotel guests..
8. Works with Purchasing Manager to ensure goods purchased are of acceptable quality.
9. Meets with suppliers and studies market trends for new equipment and products.
10. Works closely together with POMEC to ensure an efficient and effective Maintenance & Repair program is in operation.
11. Develops a membership program to achieve a wider public audience for the usage of recreation facilities against a membership fee structure subject to HM s / GM s approval.
12. While aiming to achieve highest levels of services, revenues and profits, ensures that the hotel s and company s resources are managed effectively and efficiently at all times.
13. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Hotel- / General Manager.
14. Executives daily, weekly, monthly and annual administrative tasks and duties in relation to general records keeping, stock taking, internal memorandum filling, attendance keeping, IT and resources maintenance, reporting and other administrative tasks.
15. Administers daily, weekly, monthly and annual department results and budget concerns including capital expenditure replacement (annually).
16. Recommends corrective actions for unfavorable variances in job standards and / or budget commitment and actions upon consented action tactics and strategies.
17. Plans and executes effective duty schedules to ensure sufficient manpower in accordance to volume of business.
18. nbspConducts daily / frequently departmental briefings / meetings.
19. Knows, understands and reviews the job roles and responsibilities of all positions in the in the department and be aware of others.
20. Conserves energy and water at all time without degrading guest comfort and standard of services.
21. Manages wastes by reducing and recycling wastes, encourage employees to carefully use resources.
22. As a member of the Executive Committee, he/she is responsible for any decision made by the hotel/ company.
