Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for effectively managing the Servers (Physical & Virtual), SAN, Database, PABX, Network, Print server, Mail server, Web server, LDAP/Active directory, DR, Backup and all applications support hosted of the company globally.
Maintaining and managing the Servers (Physical & Virtual), SAN, Database, PABX, Print server, Mail server, Web server, LDAP/Active directory, DR, Backup and all application support based on requirement.
Provide technical and administrative support to IT service delivery by identifying, investigating and resolving technical problems.
Analyze business requirements and problems due to lack of IT support thereof and develop appropriate IT infrastructure to solve such bottlenecks thereby improving productivity and profitability.
Assess the existing infrastructure and develop measures of improving the efficiency of the same; ensure that appropriate and relevant security measures are applicable and running; standardize all applications used in the organization and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets & hardware s of users in order to assign appropriate licensing costs.
Assist in the development and implementation of global systems like new domains, platforms, backup, Disaster recovery and any applications as required by the changing needs of the business. Develop Systems accurate and detailed project plans for the effective implementation of new projects as required by the business.
Train new and existing IT staff in all Servers and applications relevant to their function and that the necessary software is loaded on the company/staff machine as required. Assess hardware connectivity requirements of new and existing customers and fulfil the same in a timely manner.
Maintain and effectively monitor the Servers, Storage, Database and PABX for timely identification and resolution of problems.
Resolve all service tickets raised by appropriately analyzing the same, resolving the issue locally or escalating the same.
Receive IT requirements from all departments and provide inputs to the IT Director for preparation of the annual IT budget.
Keeping the proper Inventory of IT Assets.
Assist in the maintenance, identification and resolution of network problems
Manage System support and System administrator staffs in your region.
Graduate in Computer/Engineering discipline.
Linux/Microsoft system administrator certified professional, networking knowledge preferred.
3-5 years relevant experience (especially in areas of PC/Server/SAN/Database/OS Windows & Linux/ DR/Backup/ LDAP/Active directories/PABX and other trouble shooting etc) is a must.
The job holder will be expected to be flexible in adjusting hours of work when there is an operational need to do so.
