JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE : Regional Sales Manager REPORTS TO : Commercial Manager
LOCATION : Abu Dhabi DEPT/GROUP : Sales

Job Objective

This position is reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. He is responsible for technical sales within the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, and East African regions while through good management skills dealing positively with internal and external stakeholders. Through know-how in customer relations and technical communication, the RSM should be able to gain sales at an appropriate margin by utilizing Ingenia’s expertise, quality of products, and technical edge.

Key Accountabilities

  1. To increase the customer base within the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, and East African regions
  2. To coordinate constructively with internal and external stakeholders to successfully complete the total sales path from customer approach to manufacturing completion, to the final destination shipment, and to positive collection
  3. To provide exceptional customer service to ensure the agreed customer contract requirements have been met.
  4. To work closely with all operations teams to ensure timely efforts are made to ensure the agreed customer contract requirements have been met
  5. To minimize any delay in production, shipments, issues with government entities, or personnel-related due to the information passing late or inaccurate
  6. To work together with inter-departmental teams to align programs and resources to develop solutions to problems aiming to increase the overall company performance and customer satisfaction through an environment of unity and teamwork
  7. A safe working environment appropriate to the tasks being undertaken
  8. Increase the customer base within UAE, Oman, Kuwait and East African regions.
  9. Coordinate constructively with internal and external stakeholders
  10. Provide exceptional customer service
  11. Payment tracking of own-generated business
  12. Closely follow and actively participate in various internal training sessions related to the Ingenia know-how and the development of products.
  13. Special projects and other duties as assigned

Leadership

  4. Build effective communications across associated functional groups (Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, Technical Service)

  6. Resolve conflicts quickly fairly and without loss of efficiency and or effectiveness

External

  4. Build effective communication across associated functional groups (Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, Technical Service) and the customer

  1. Freedom given to interpret and determine policy and procedures as written and approved by the company
  2. Freedom given to assist in the defining and developing process of Customer Service standards and procedures.
  3. Freedom given to represent the company to customers on complaint resolution, special service requests.
  4. Freedom given to propose to reorganize responsibilities, duties within the Customer Service Group.
  5. Freedom given to travel to Ingenia office locations within GCC
  6. Freedom is given to establish target areas to maximize sales.
  7. Freedom to set sales strategies.
  8. Freedom to schedule sales and tech service personnel to travel in GCC (or ROW)
  9. Coordinate evaluations of the defective product with the LAB people to decide if returns are accepted from the customer.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Qualifications

  1. University degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
  2. MBA and asset.

Minimum Experience

  1. 10 – 15 years of progressive polymer sales and/or technical service experience.
  2. Experience dealing with large customers at senior levels.
  3. Experience in working on cross-functional issues in a dynamic manufacturing organization.
  4. Experience in leading teams.
  5. Experience in supply chain management & logistics.

Job–Specific Skills

  1. In-depth and expert knowledge of sales and marketing methods.
  2. Deep knowledge of international polymer markets and producers.
  3. English Language
  4. Knowledge of polymers resin manufacturing, supply chain logistics and downstream conversion processes.
  5. Business skills & understanding
  6. Computer skills
  7. Extensive overnight travel is required (25%-50% Travel).
