Job Description

As a dedicated Registered Midwife, you will play a crucial role in the journey of childbirth, supporting mothers and their families throughout the stages of pregnancy, labor, and postnatal care. Your expertise will be vital in providing comprehensive care, from initial prenatal assessments to the delivery of babies and further support following birth. You will be responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. As an essential member of the birthing team, your ability to respond to various scenarios with professionalism and compassion is paramount. Working collaboratively with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals, your contributions will shape positive health outcomes for both mother and child.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor the health of expectant mothers.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to mothers during labor and birth.
  • Manage and assist in the delivery of newborns ensuring safety and care.
  • Develop individualized birth and care plans considering mothers' preferences.
  • Offer education and guidance on prenatal and postnatal care practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to monitor fetal health effectively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient statuses, treatments, and consultations.
  • Provide emergency support and intervention during complex childbirth scenarios.
  • Support the transition and adaptation of mothers to parenthood roles.
  • Advise and support mothers on breastfeeding, nutrition, and newborn care.
  • Participate in community outreach programs promoting maternal health awareness.

Requirements
  • Valid midwifery license .
  • Proven experience in a midwifery or maternal health care environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist diverse populations.
  • Ability to remain calm and make swift decisions during high-pressure situations.
  • Competency in using modern medical and monitoring equipment effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and updated training sessions.
