MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal duty of the hyperbaric nurse is to monitor and control the pressure inside a hyperbaric chamber, a steel cylinder large enough to hold a person. In a hospital, he/she assists medical staff as required while maintaining the necessary pressure in the chamber.
