Roles & Responsibilities
Deloitte UK is seeking experienced ex-regulators to join a prestigious project based in the UAE, supporting the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) in their innovative fintech licensing initiatives.
About The Role
This is a 4-month contract opportunity to leverage your regulatory expertise in reviewing and assessing license applications in cutting-edge fintech domains including:
- Stored Value Facilities
- Retail Payment Services
- Open Finance
- Payment Tokens
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess licensing applications with a focus on innovative fintech sectors
- Conduct thorough screening of applicant documentation and interviews
- Communicate effectively with applicants and internal teams
- Collaborate with specialized teams covering AML/CFT, Conduct & Consumer Protection, Fit & Proper Assessment, Business Model & Financial Projections, and IT workflows
- Present findings and recommendations to regulatory stakeholders
- Ex-regulators with hands-on experience in licensing application reviews
- Strong background in fintech regulatory frameworks and innovative payment services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple specialized review areas
- Available to work onsite in the UAE for the duration of the contract (remote work options considered with UAE data residency compliance)
