Identify business growth opportunities and unmet customer requirements and provide vision and focus to move ideas to market place.
Develop and implement successful business models for existing as well as well new products and therapies to ensure regional business growth targets are met.
Create regional vision, strategy and annual goals and objectives for the defined business/es in line with RCS CEMA/Emerging Africa vision and strategy.
Provide guidance and strategic input to maximize localization opportunities to build winning local play strategy.
Develop annual business plans according to business objectives.
Develop market development and marketing strategies to grow the defined business/es.
Establish customer education programs to implement key strategies across the region, in line with CEMA/EA RCS marketing leadership.
Establish, maintain and foster “Key Customer” relationships (Physicians, Key Opinion Leaders and Key Purchasing Officers) in partnership with the Medtronic country organizations. Additionally, organize and manage all customer contacts when visiting Headquarters and to direct activities of physicians’ review boards, multi-country symposia, area educational events.
Facilitate the adaptation of new business models, marketing strategies and tactics at regional and country levels.
Monitor performance versus objectives, monitor ongoing budget allocation/variances, identify and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Develop and implement pricing strategies for the region, for tenders structuring and participation.
Inventory management and consignment policies in partnership with finance, European Operating Committee (EOC) and local country management.
Ensure that product launches are implemented in line with marketing plan, strategies and tactics (price, positioning, promotion, education etc.) set at CEMA/EA level.
Develop and implement the best strategies and tactics to grant region success.
Work with CEMA Leadership to provide input on forecast, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinical evaluations etc.
Assure alignment in other functional areas such as research, clinical, development, education, reimbursement and sales.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
BS/BA degree in marketing, economics, or biomedical engineering.
MBA and/ or additional Healthcare related (scientific or engineering) post-graduate degree a plus.
5+ years professional experience in a business function (Sales, Marketing, Business/ Market Development).
5+ years professional experience in Healthcare/ Medical Devises/ Pharma
in a mature European market.
5+ years of leadership experience, ideally with heterogenous sales
and marketing teams.
Solid experience in a large corporate environment with a significant matrix culture.
Experienced in managing fast paced growth environment as well a start-up business segment.
Fluency in English and local language.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Recognizes and understands political landscape within the company and among Business Units.
