Key tasks
The main responsibility of the Reservations Agent is to maximise sales whilst delivering exceptional customer service, in aid of contributing to the overall success of the Reservations function.
Processes all reservations, indicating special requests and billing procedures where necessary and ensuring all required customer details are being captured.
Handles all calls effectively and efficiently, ensuring delivery of best-in-class customer service and minimum response times whilst adhering to company policies and procedures.
Monitors inventory and identifies any opportunities or issues that may arise.
Produces various reports in regards to sales, cancellations and no-shows, filing all documentation accordingly.
Communicates effectively to the caller on any need to know information i.e policies and procedures etc.
Facilitates guest inquiries about property by having good knowledges of the hotel and it s localities i.e opening hours, room availability, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants and special events etc.
Utilizes up-selling techniques and sales strategies to maximize property revenue.
