Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring that project specifications and standards are met with precision and quality.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client and contractor, facilitating effective communication and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Review and approve construction drawings, material submissions, and change orders to maintain project integrity and budget.
  • Prepare comprehensive daily reports detailing work progress, issues encountered, and accomplishments for stakeholder review.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources essential for project continuity.
  • Implement effective quality control measures, conducting tests on materials and workmanship to uphold project standards.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical challenges and conflicts on-site, employing problem-solving skills to maintain project momentum.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, ensuring that timelines are adhered to and that any deviations are addressed proactively.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and professional development.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum 10 years of experience (at least 5 years in UAE) Strong background in redevelopment/reconstruction and high-end fit-out projects Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills UAE experience with consultants or engineering firms is highly preferred
