The Revenue Accounting Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and control of all hotel revenue. This position safeguards compliance with Hilton s financial policies while supporting the Finance team in delivering efficient operations and reliable reporting.
What will I be doing?
As a Revenue Accounting Specialist, you will:
- Audit daily revenue figures, supporting reports, and vouchers to ensure accuracy.
- Verify and reconcile all revenue streams, including rooms, food & beverage, banquets, telephone, parking, and miscellaneous charges.
- Review and authorize entertainment dockets, complimentary rooms, allowances, rebates, and paid outs in line with Hilton policies.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and ensure timely allocation of payments, resolving discrepancies with relevant departments.
- Prepare and distribute the Daily Revenue Report for Hotel Management.
- Audit the daily cash summary prepared by the General Cashier and reconcile with POS and PMS.
- Review Room Rate Discrepancy Reports and ensure all changes are properly authorized.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and monthly GL reconciliations of revenue-related accounts.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure reports are filed or archived in proper order.
- Assist with contingency procedures in case of system failures, ensuring all manual processes are followed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support smooth Finance operations.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in Finance or Revenue Accounting, preferably within hospitality.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of financial systems, PMS, and MS Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, particularly at month-end.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Flexibility with working hours when required.
