Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute rigging operations with precision to ensure the safety and efficiency of lifting heavy equipment and materials.
- Select appropriate rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, and hoists based on load specifications and environmental conditions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of rigging gear to identify any wear or defects before use, maintaining compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with crane operators and ground crew to communicate load movements clearly and effectively during lifting operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in rigging or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on rigging experience in construction, manufacturing, or maritime environments.
- Certification in rigging techniques, such as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) or equivalent, is required.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and rigging schematics.
