Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Road Safety Plan / Traffic Management Plan in line with ADNOC and Project requirements.
2. Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE-OS-ST25 Road Transport Operations Safety and related ADNOC HSE Standards.
3. Conduct route risk assessments, journey management planning, and defensive driving programs.
4. Implement In Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) / Telematics monitoring and analyze driving behavior data (speeding, harsh braking, seatbelt usage, etc.).
5. Conduct light/heavy equipment inspections, driver fitness-to-work checks, and licensing compliance.
6. Review subcontractors’ transport safety arrangements to ensure alignment with project standards.
7. Organize road safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and defensive driver training.
8. Promote “Zero Harm” culture and ADNOC Life-Saving Rules (Driving-related LSRs).
9. Investigate and report road traffic incidents, near misses, and violations.
10. Prepare root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans.
11. Maintain records of drivers, vehicles, and compliance audits.
12. Submit road safety performance reports to Project HSE
Engineer/Manager and ADNOC representatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Transportation, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline.
2. NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification (mandatory).
3. ADNOC-approved Road Safety Coordinator certification (preferred, or ability to obtain prior to mobilization).
4. Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in road safety management, preferably on oil & gas EPC projects in the Middle East.
5. Strong knowledge of ADNOC COPs, UAE Federal Traffic Law, and IVMS/Telematics systems.
6. Proven experience in driver management, defensive driving training, and journey management.
7. Excellent communication and reporting skills (English mandatory, Arabic an advantage).
