Roll Shop Supervisor

Role & responsibilities

• To meet all roll requirements in line with the HSM rolling program.
• Manage all aspects of roll movements within the Roll Shop.
• Submit a weekly report of all Roll Shop roll movements to the Roll Shop & Rolling Processes Section Heads.
• Liaise with the Section Head Rolling Processes to confirm rolling program requirements.
• Roll Shop roll management planning & a proactive approach to change are required to suit the day to day running of the HSM.
• The highest standards of Health & Safety are required at all times & this will be measured against the overall Roll Shop performance.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate Mechanical Engineer/Diploma Mechanical Engineer. Work Experience of around 10-15 Years in the Section Mill Steel Plant

• Thorough knowledge about functions of all areas of a Sections Mill Roll Shop activity, Roll & Guide Manufacturing Supply Chains, Roll Shop, Roll & Guide Build for Medium / Heavy Sections, knowledge on Roll material characteristics and Roll dressing requirements for Heavy/Medium Sections & roll design and CNC lathes
